Biography
As Scott Hart’s Certified Sugar Momma, it is often overlooked that Caitlin also carries a CF-L1 & a life full of competitive & athletic achievements…
Caitlin is an Edmond, Oklahoma native. Having two older brothers, her competitive nature was encouraged from a very young age, as she was periodically subjected to wrestling matches for the last Little Debbie. As a tall and lanky child, Caitlin excelled at her chosen sport of volleyball. However, after earning a couple of state rings and some All-State honorable mentions (#HumbleFlex) she hung up her spanx to focus on her academic career. During her collegiate years at Oklahoma State University, Caitlin obtained various intramural championship t-shirts which she has proudly framed and displays in her bathroom. Then in 2015, Caitlin disappeared from the competitive arena to focus on the peaceful art of yoga and meditation. However, when she began daring other yogis to competitive-stretch offs in the middle of yoga practice, she decided it was time to find a new sport. Having joined Crossfit in May of 2017, Caitlin quickly fell in love with the sports intensity and camaraderie. Wanting to learn more about Crossfit’s movements and methodology, she became a CFL1 Trainer and has since discovered her greatest passion and her life’s mission: to encourage and assist others in living active and healthy lives.
If Caitlin had not found Crossfit, she would have considered a career in competitive eating. Since she has found CrossFit she has made it a goal of hers to make HomeBase athletes fall in love with the process!
As she often says, “You don’t need to see the whole staircase to take the first step.”
